Between May 11-13, 2023, the 15th edition of the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation “EuroInvent” 2023 took place, under the Patronage of the Ministry of Research, Innovation, Development and Digitization.
The event was organized by the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University in Iași, the Forum of Romanian Inventors, in partnership with the “Moldova” National Museum Complex in Iași – the “Ștefan Procopiu” Science and Technology Museum, Europe Direct Iași, the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iași , the National Research Institute for Environmental Protection (INCDPM), the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași, Universiti Malaysia Perlis and Czestochowa University of Technology Poland.
The 15th edition of EuroInvent sums up 715 projects, 122 papers presented at conferences in the field of Materials Science and Engineering, over 25 volumes presented at the Book Fair and the participation of 50 artists at the Fine Arts Fair.
The countries registered at the EuroInvent 2023 events are: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, China, Croatia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Macau, Morocco, Macedonia, Malaysia, Republic of Moldova , New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, England, United States of America, Vietnam.
The National Institute for Mining Safety and Explosive Protection, INCD INSEMEX Petroșani, participated in this event with a series of inventions in the specific field of activity, all of which were rewarded by the jury with a number of 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, a bronze medal, as well as a special prize for the presentation of inventions.

During the 11th and 15th of June 2017, a joint delegation from the National Institute for Research and Development in Mine Safety and Protection to Explosion INSEMEX Petrosani, represented by the General Director – PhD. Eng. George Artur GAMAN and Head of Laboratory for International Projects and Cooperation – PhD. Eng. Vlad Mihai PASCULESCU, and from the University of Petrosani represented by Rector Prof. Phd. Eng. Sorin Mihai RADU, Vice-rector for Scientific Research and International Relations – Prof. PhD. Eng. Roland Iosif MORARU and Prof. PhD. Eng. Nicolae ILIAS, visited Tbilisi, in Georgia, responding to an invitation from two prestigious educational and research institutions from this country.

During the visit, INCD INSEMEX Petrosani and the University of Petrosani signed the Memorandums of Understanding on technical and scientific cooperation with LEPL Grigol Tsulukidze Mining Institute, identifying possibilities of cooperation for the common and related domains. Therefore, INSEMEX is intending to proceed with the idea of scientific fellowships and technological transfers between Petrosani and Georgian researchers, especially in the field of explosives and blasting materials.

At the Georgian Technical University (GTU) from Tbilisi, the Romanian delegation had a complex dialogue with the academical institution management, pointing the prime directions and the immediate actions that will be taken in compliance with the Memorandum of Understanding which was signed between the University of Petrosani and the Georgian Technical University.

The two universities agreed upon the Memorandum of Understanding, to initiate the ERASMUS PLUS agreement concerning the students and the professors mobility and it was settled the reciprocity principle regarding the publishing of the research results in the magazines published by the two institutions of higher education.

Known to be constantly preoccupied in improving the health and safety state in working environments, also having a tight relation of cooperation with the Labour Inspection of Romania, INSEMEX Petrosani and their representatives were invited by the International Labour Organization to a work meeting which was held at the Georgian Association for Business headquarters. The activity of the Labour Inspection of Georgia was suspended in 2006 and the issues raised by this resulted in work accidents with irreversible consequences. At the present moment, the International Labour Organization together with the Georgian Government carries out an ample project of reinstatement of a legislation concerning the health and safety in work environments and also the organization of Labour Inspection in this country. By the invitation of Mr. Valentin Mocanu – Labour Inspection and Occupational Safety and Health Specialist and Mr. Zsolt Dudas – Chief technical Adviser, delegated by the International Work Organization for reinstating the activity of Labour Inspection in Georgia, the General Director of INSEMEX, Mr. George Artur Gaman presented the activity of the institute and the possibility of assisting in this process of reinstatement.

The presentation was held in front of an impressive auditorium, formed by the future Georgian labour inspectors and representatives of the conducting ministry. It was concluded to be of great benefit the technical support that the institute can provide in this matter, and it was settled an agreement that the future labour inspectors to be trained by the INSEMEX experts in specific activities conducted in potentially explosive, toxic or flammable atmospheres work environments. Therefore, most probably at the end of this year, the institute will delegate a team of experts to provide assistance and technical training, first concerning the specific problematic of safety and health in the mining industry. It is expected that the future team which will develop the technical training of the future labour inspectors to be formed also by representatives of the Labour Inspection of Romania, whom will clarify and offer support regarding the aspects of legislative nature.
