Department for Safety of Installations and Explosion Proof Equipment

Department for  Safety of Explosion-Proof Equipment and Installations operates inside of INCD-INSEMEX Petroşani and comprises three laboratories:

–     a laboratory in which are carried research activities regarding electric Ex power equipment;

–     a laboratory in which are carried research activities regarding electric low current equipment;

–     a laboratory in which are carried research activities regarding non-electric Ex equipment, electrostatics and EIP

–      research activity

–      assessment activity for certification of technical equipment according Directive 94/9/EC- ATEX (transposed by HG 752/2004), Directive 89/686/EEC–EIP (transposed by HG 115/2004) and Directive 2006/42/EC-Machinery (transposed by HG 1029/2008)

–      Ex equipment certification activity

–      in situ evaluation for technical installations according Normative NEx 01-06/2007

–      training of personnel:

      •  Training, examination and certification of persons responsible with verification of mining blasting machines
      •  Evaluation for certification – recertification of persons serving firedamp detection systems with remote sensors
      • Training/evaluation for certification (recertification) of persons having responsibilities regarding verification, repairing and maintenance of fixed and portable gas detection apparatus
      • Training-evaluation for certification-recertification of personnel having responsibilities regarding designing and manufacturing of equipments and protective systems designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
      • Training-evaluation for certification-recertification of personnel having responsibilities regarding mounting, maintenance, revision and repairing of equipments and protective systems designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres

CT 1 – Training, examination and certification of persons responsible with verification of mining blasting machines

Short description: ”Training, examination and certification of persons responsible with verification of mining blasting machines” represents a field applying to persons responsible for:

  • · conducting monthly verifications of mining blasting machines, verifications made on the premises of companies that hold and use mining blasting machines;
  • · conducting annual verifications of mining blasting machines, only in workshops authorized by INSEMEX Petrosani in this purpose.
Training duration: Seminar activities: 2 days

Examination: 1 day
Training courses frequency: The minimum condition to conduct one session of training/retraining and examination/re-examination is to have requests for 5 candidates minimum.
Document issued at the end of training courses: Certificate for attestation of professional competence.

The professional competence certification is only valid for the trained and examined person and only within the employer company that requested the service.
Validity of the document issued: 3 years
Requirements for participation at training: Submission of required documents and proof of payment for the training course fee.
Documents required to be submitted on registration:
  • · Official proof issued by the legal person of employer organization, including personal data regarding name, forename, date of birth, education, profession, specialization;
  • · Curriculum Vitae including in short, the personal data and professional expertise in the evaluated specialization, together with a copy of the qualification or license document;
  • · If necessary, previous authorizations regarding the demanded specialization;
  • · The candidate will sign a statement on arrival.

 

 

CT 2 – Evaluation for certification – recertification of persons serving firedamp detection systems with remote sensors

Short description: ”Evaluation for certification – recertification of persons serving firedamp detection systems with remote sensors” represents an area that refers to certification activity of the persons serving firedamp detection systems with remote sensors within the firedamp mining facilities (responsible for firedamp detection systems with remote sensors, operator for firedamp detection systems with remote sensors, electrician for firedamp detection systems with remote sensors).

Firedamp detection systems with remote sensors – installation that allows centralized and automated surveillance of methane from a certain number of measuring points (1 – 40 points), and in case of exceeding the maximum preset methane concentration, initiates optic and acoustic alarming signals and disconnects the electric energy supply.
